Oki Desktop Mailer System
The new Oki Desktop Mailer system enables the instant production of full colour mailers. An alternative to conventional direct mailing, it allows a company to produce effective sales support material in-house, providing the opportunity to produce more personalised, tailored material. By bringing production in-house the system not only reduces overheads from outsourcing but also enables greater flexibility and reduces waste with the ability to print on demand. Businesses can efficiently target customers by personalising a full colour mailer using the variable data printing software included with the Desktop Mailer.
The system comprises three components, delivering a cost effective, complete solution for producing full colour documents:
- Oki C7500hdn digital LED colour printer
The Desktop Mailer system has a print speed of up to 20 pages per minute in colour and 24 pages per minute in mono. It has an integral duplex unit to help deliver professional double sided documents and a hard disk drive to store the contents of documents that do not change between each direct mail. The system is equipped with auto colour balance to ensure the colour output quality is consistent on every page.
- Sealing unit
The unit folds a document and seals it with either a tear off or tamper proof seal, making it ideal for direct mail, reminder notices, loyalty scheme information and marketing promotions. The Desktop Mailer also eliminates the need and expense of envelopes and stamps, by printing envelopes with a pre-paid postage mark. A complete system, the Desktop Mailer also removes the need for a separate letter folding or envelope insertion machine.
- Variable data printing software provided by Image Computer Systems Ltd
The variable data printing software enables efficient name and address management removing the need to use complex word processing or mail merge operations. It can be used to address individual recipients or linked to a standard database to address many recipients. The software enables businesses to tailor direct mail items to deliver specific messages to groups of recipients.
