We manufacture and supply ‘Labelcoders’ for use with the OkiMicroline range of dot matrix printers, recognised as the leading dot matrix printers on the market today. Development of these units led to Mainframe connectivity via Twinax and Coax and units designed for the Printronix range of printers.

An external unit has since been developed that supports all of the Microline range, plus EPSON FX, LQ, IBM Proprinter and PCL (LaserJet) emulations.

This has meant that the full range of Oki printers can produce barcodes, large characters, boxes, etc from simple commands sent to the printer, from the early Microline up to the latest OKI C9800 series of A3 colour laser printer which is capable of printing up to 40 A4 pages per minute.

In 2001, Image was commissioned to write an application that makes everyday printing simple. Image and Oki developed a specification that has led to the Oki Template Application. This software is supplied with every OKI colour laser printer supplied within Europe.

The application is available in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish and allows users to print business cards, address & CD labels, ID cards and banners that would normally require a high level of technical expertise to set up the printer driver. The entire configuration is done automatically through the Template Manager, reducing wasted time and consumables.

Following on from the success of the Template Application in 2003 , Image was commissioned to write an application for Oki Systems (UK) Ltd. The Oki Desktop Mailer supports Oki’s top of the range A4 colour laser printer with a folder and sealer unit that allows companies to prnt customisable direct mail.
