The Southern Ireland based retail group Superquinn have asked in-store printing specialists Image Computer Systems Ltd to add a custom program to their existing EPoS system.

Based on Image’s EnSign software, the new system enables data for shelf edge labelling and other signage, to work directly with their EPoS files. Image Computer System’s programmers provided Superquinn (Lucan based) Head Office the ability to design any type of shelf edge label using data for pricing already dictated by the EPoS system. With the introduction of the Euro, Superquinn will be able to print the Euro symbol and Irish Punt and take advantage of an automatic currency converter. All 17 Superquinn stores are able to receive the designs and data through ISDN lines from Head Office and then print the signage in-store.
